Do you find yourself stuck working with clients with low or even non-existent self-esteem? Do you get trapped into the same skills you’ve been working on for years? Forging the Phoenix is based on a program built by Oklahoma’s own Cindy Lee, LCSW. This workshop is a brief introduction to an 8-week curriculum designed to help clinicians work with adults and teens. It can be applied in a one on one or in a group setting to focus on understanding effects of trauma on the brain, body, and in relationships. It will transform understanding on how clients see and reflect their self-worth through building resilient positive self-images through active exercises and powerful reflections. Join us for the journey.

This workshop is approved for 3 CEUs for Oklahoma Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (provider number 20190088), and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (non-specific, provider number 20190018)

1. Build understanding of how trauma affects self-worth and attachment.

2. Help clients create an understanding of their needs and how shame inhibits them.

3. Assist clients in forging positive self-worth through a trauma lens.
